Nice App, nice format, nice grooves.
Bought this yesterday, already got way more than my money’s worth. Had a few breakthroughs. These grooves are well put together and offer many ways of training with them by either muting parts or simply approaching the groove differently. Blue tooth from my phone to a speaker and boom – played until the fingers needed a break. Back at it this morning for a quicky before work. Well worth the money IMO. And because you can mute different instruments it will be a good tool for my guitar playing too…. Having way to much fun on bass right now though! If you like MarloweDKs bass lesson’s you’ll love this tool!

Great funky grooves!
I use this app for solo practice on guitar and harmonica. The tracks are very inspiring, tight, funky and modern sounding. You can customise the mix, keys and tempo and create your own practice tracks. Definitely a keeper!

Good jam app!
This is a fun little practice tool to hone your grooves. It’s not centered on any particular instrument, and individual parts can be muted, soloed, or have their volume changed to suit. The interface is uncluttered so it’s really easy to get to playing. I’d ask for a display of the key in the song screen itself, displayed prominently. It would be cool to be able to transpose the keys as well.
Editors note It IS possible to tranpose to all keys

Fantastic! Favorite practice app
The tracks are fantastic on here and they are customizable. Many resemble familiar funk tracks by well known artists. Some of the track titles kind of give you a hint. Really great for practicing modes and soloing. Also great for locking in strong rhythms.

How to add sections and change keys in the Back Pocket Grooves app
No, but if the iPhone version performs well, we might consider a Android version too.
No, the grooves are only for practicing with the iphone, and cannot be exported.

Back Pocket Grooves is a subscription app, just like Netflix, Hbo etc, with new content being published on a regular basis. If you subscribe to the app you will be notified of new grooves when they are published.
